Sign in and offline access
An individual login identifies the staff member and verified access. The approved offline policy allows device PIN access for up to 24 hours after the last online verification.
Preparing offline access
- Sign in online with the account that will use this store on this device. Confirm that the intended branch and permissions have loaded.
- Use the account menu to set the device PIN while online. Keep the PIN private and do not share an owner login with counter staff.
- When internet is unavailable, enter the enrolled PIN on the login screen and choose Work Offline. The app opens the enrolled local store when the verified lease is still valid.
- Use Go Online when a connection is available. Review the queue status and resolve any item requiring attention.
Expiry and sign out
A PIN does not create permanent offline permission. After 24 hours, online verification is required again, while store records and queued events remain retained. A changed account or revoked access can require fresh verification. Signing out must not be treated as a way to extend the offline lease; re-enter with the enrolled PIN only when the local context remains valid. If Work Offline reports that online sign-in is required, confirm that this exact device and account were enrolled and that the lease has not expired. Go online and sign in again. Do not delete SQLite files, clear application storage or reinstall to bypass the message.
Help on the login screen
Use the help icon for offline-access details. If the app cannot load the local database session, preserve its error message and ask the administrator to inspect the enrolled store. Never send passwords, PINs or authentication tokens with a support request.
