Getting started
AUNSYS keeps the working store database on the Windows device and synchronizes permitted changes with the cloud. Use the desktop application for transactions and hardware. A browser preview cannot replace the native store database.
Before the first shift
- Confirm that the platform administrator has provisioned the store, an active license and the required branch allowance. Obtain your individual staff login through the store owner or administrator.
- Open the current desktop build with internet available. Sign in online and confirm the correct store and working branch in the top bar.
- Allow the initial settings and data download to finish. If account settings have not downloaded, go online and reload them; do not create a second store or replace the database.
- Review the business name, address, contact details, uploaded artwork and receipt preview. Ask the platform administrator to correct operating country or jurisdiction.
- Test the configured printer and one barcode in a safe rehearsal before serving customers. Confirm the configured tax rate, timezone and receipt paper size.
Finding your work
The sidebar groups Dashboard, Job Cards, Invoicing, Invoice History, CRM, Inventory, Vendors, Finance, Analytics and Settings. Your role hides or blocks unavailable work. The top bar shows the working branch and synchronization state. A missing menu can be a permission limit rather than an installation problem. Opening the app can show the AUNSYS animation. Record and page loads use simple status text. Wait for the relevant form to finish loading before entering a transaction. A failed load should show its error and recovery action.
Daily opening and shift checks
A short opening check prevents incorrect branches, stale country settings and unverified hardware from affecting sales.
- Sign in with your own account. Confirm the store and branch before opening a cart or job card.
- Check synchronization. A paused state can be intentional, but cloud and mobile views will then lag behind local work. Investigate Needs Attention before assuming records are current everywhere.
- Check the business timezone, currency and receipt paper choice. The platform administrator controls operating country and jurisdiction.
- Confirm the printer, paper roll and scanner. Scan a known item and inspect the selected product and quantity. Remove rehearsal items before starting a real sale.
- Open the branch’s current reports and review outstanding customer balances, supplier dues, low stock and repairs awaiting pickup. Assign follow-up work to authorized staff.
- If changing branch, save or park the active draft first. The app can block a switch that would move unfinished work into another branch.
Before leaving the counter
Save the transaction and confirm success before taking another customer. Check whether printing or sharing needs a separate action. A print request does not prove the receipt printed. Leave the correct branch selected for the next shift and protect the device when stepping away.
At the end of the day
Reconcile the branch’s recorded payments with actual cash and external terminal records. Resolve pending transactions before a manager closes the day. Use the preserved Z report for the closed totals and retain a backup under your store’s retention policy. Detailed closing instructions appear later in this guide.
